Clutter Bug

I told my husband last winter that if I had to spend one.more.winter. in this apartment, I was afraid I would lose my mind. Well, it is December and guess what? We are still in this apartment. So, I am decluttering, cleaning, organizing everything I possibly can to make it feel homier and bigger. I have taken stock of what we have and have decided to part with what we don't need. I am a pack rat. I admit it. EVERYTHING has sentimental value to me and I have a hard time letting things go. But I need to change. We are running out of room. And honestly I don't need all of the stuff I hang on to. I know that. I am trying to keep the things I love, and find more multipurpose items/furniture that can be beautiful and functional (eh hem- hide crap). Creative ways to store the valuable, precious treasures but still give a clutter-free look.

I found this desk/console in Pottery Barn. LOVE it! Multi-purpose for sure. Could be a console, a dining room buffet, a desk, a sofa table, etc. Now that is some piece of furniture. Price tag? Not in my budget. So- what is a girl to do? I emailed the picture with the exact dimensions I wanted to my Dad and asked him to make it!! We'll see if Santa puts it under the tree or not!! LOL

I had better get back to work! I am trying to get ready to put up the Christmas decorations too! My husband says he doesn't care what I do as long as I don't spend any money and he doesn't have to help! HA!! I love him. ;)

I hope to be back on Monday to show of my decorations!

Blessings,
Heather:)

Prayer Request For Anissa

A fellow blogger needs our prayers. Her name is Anissa Means Mayhew. You can find her story/progress here:

http://www.hope4peyton.org/page/2/

Her husband is keeping this family blog updated with her progress. I just can not imagine what this family must be going through right now. Their story makes you realize that life can change in the blink of an eye. Please keep Anissa and her family and friends in your prayers and ask your readers to do the same.

Blessings,
Heather:)

Better & Worse

Bella is doing much better! It was a long hard road of recovery for Bella. I am so used to her bouncing back but this really took a toll on her. There were long miserable days and lots of sleepless nights but we got through it! Praise God!
Just as she was starting to feel better she ended up with the stomach flu the Friday before Thanksgiving. Within a few days everyone in our house had it. Which meant more long days and sleepless nights for me. Yuck.

Things have been absolutely crazy around here but seem to have started to calm down. I really need to catch up on my rest. Running on two hours of sleep a night for over two weeks straight and ending up with the bug has gotten me completely worn down. Now I am miserable with a cold and a sinus infection. Hopefully we will all be better soon!

Until then...
Blessings,
Heather:)
