I am in denial. Normally I don't mind winter- as long as it stops snowing and warms up to 70 degrees after Christmas.
LOL!!! But this year, for some reason, I am dreading it. Who am I kidding!?! This is Ohio......a state where the weather changes between the four seasons daily it seems. I was watching the news last night and the weather woman gave her report. I sat there laughing....she has to be kidding,
right? This
IS some kind of joke,
right? It is,
after all, only October! We haven't even been Trick-Or-Treating yet!
Well, our weather woman was not kidding. The report was no joke. And before I went to bed last night this is what I saw..................

Although the pictures are not that great (my camera does not do well in pitch black) you can see tiny little specks floating though the air and what is that on the ground................

And this morning I woke up to this...........

SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! Say it's not so! It's too early for this! Yes, way too early for me. But as much as I wanted to rub my eyes and reopen them to find green grass and orange and red leaves on the trees, I saw a blanket of fluffy white snow laying over everything. The snow has almost a velvet appearance and if the sun was shining I know it would sparkle like a new diamond.

The sun, of course, is not shining. It's actually very overcast today but seems bright outside because of this fluffy white stuff. I'm not even going to call it snow.............I'm just going to call it "stuff". Some strange substance that apparently fell from a plane or a spaceship last night when the rest of the state was asleep. Yes. Stuff. I am not ready for this "stuff". I am so in denial.
I have been extremely busy this week trying to get things back in order, list items on eBay and Craigslist, making drop-offs to the Goodwill, etc. Slowly working on getting the "junk room" cleared out so that we can get started on Cali's nursery. It seems like for every one thing I mark off of my "To Do" list however, there are five more things added. ARGH!!
Hopefully once we get everything rolling here I can get back to posting on a regular basis. I will never reach my 100th post at this rate!!! Oh my! But when I do I will tell you now- I am planning on one heck of a giveaway!!!
Cali is getting so big she has almost outgrown her bassinet so we will be moving her into her crib this week sometime. She is changing in looks so much! Her hair is getting thicker and darker (as are her eyebrows) and her face is getting so round! She is cooing and making the cutest noises! And she is getting heavier! It certainly makes it hard to carry her around all of the time like I have been. She is extremely fussy through the day unless she is being held. I really don't mind though because I know that soon she will be wiggling and squirming to get out of my arms so I am enjoying the cuddle time while I can!
Hope everyone is having a great week!
HUGS

I think your pictures came out pretty. The snow looks like silver glitter. Perfect. I guess you will be driving the kids from one door to the next?
Wendy
Hi Heather boy am I glad you all got that snow and we didn't get any down this way:) I checked with my friend the nurse and she's going to check on a few things and get back to me so as soon as she lets me know anything I'll get back to you. Heather, please send some of that beautiful "stuff" down to Georgia we hardly ever get any of that stuff.
Would love to see pics of Cali and how much shes grown dont blink because they grow up to quick! My youngest has just turned 12.
Im agree with Wendy you may have to drive the kids to trick or treat! Just take plenty of pics people here would have to see it to believe it that you tricker treated in the snow(I mean stuff)lol! Have a great week. Blessings, Karen
Aw, the first snow on the ground is always so magical...until someone steps on it ;-) I love the first half of winter...up to Christmas. Good luck with your ever-growing to-do list! Mine does the same thing...somehow it ends up with more things on it than when I started trying to cross some things off.
Say it isn't so!! I think you're sending that stuff our way. We're supposed to get it on Saturday along with very cold temperatures. I don't have my laundry room back together from our flood yet!! We have to hurry and get the insulation in the exterior walls but are having a hard time getting workmen out to do it bz the job is so small (it's blown in insulation). AUGHH, I'm so not ready!! Hope today you get to cross something off your list without five more appearing on it again. My list seems to have the same problem.
SNOW......NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Grrrrr I hate the idea of winter on it's way! I don't know how you keep up with all you have to do. I'm exhausted just thinking about it. Thanks so much for the birthday love...I appreciate it! Have a great day...and take a nap!
Wow! Here I've been grumpy because it's been way to hot, and Shazam! You got snow! I don't know if I'd want extreme cold like that. Tell ya' what, I'll give you some of warmth, for some of your cold and we'll have a happy medium...if only.
Here I was so excited because we were going to have "fall like' temps, was only supposed to be 81. It's 90! grr. Well I guess that's better then 100.
Now, will this snow stick and stay or melt away and let you have a fall before the winter comes?
Happy Halloween Fred!!
Lucky lucky lucky to get all that snow... send it to me!!
love you and miss you,
Barney
Snow is sooo beautiful when you don't have to drive in it. Wow! It's early to be thinking about snow.
No friggin' way!!! I'd be in denial too. Brrrrr....
I hope your neighbors haven't given you any more guff over noise.
I bet the kiddos liked the snow tho!
